Beautifully detailed, sculptural pendant, handmade of bronze, copper, silver, adorned with peridots and sapphires. This pendant was inspired by Slavic folklore. Leszy/Leshy is a woodland spirit in Slavic mythology who protects wild animals and forests (also a bit of a trickster - misguiding people or helping them). He is roughly analogous to the Woodwose of Western Europe and the Basajaun of the Basque Country. I depicted him with his club - symbol of his lordship of the forest.

Pendant is 7,9 cm long and it comes with a strand of faceted olivines (circa 50 cm long). This piece won second place in prestigious Saul Bell Design Award competition in metal clay category. It was exhibited during a gala in Albuquerque and in Las Vegas. The pendant was also published in a competition's cataloque and in "The Crafts Report", March 2014. - Here you can see a short movie showing this piece - Here you can see all winning pieces, SBDA 2014 - A movie showing all the pieces and some fun facts about the winners :-)

My pendant „Lair of visions” was published in AMCAW calendar (Alliance for Metal Clay Arts Worldwide) for 2021.  This piece is made of sterling silver, milled sterling sheet, fine silver bezel wire, electroplated gold, three labradorites and two peridots. This pendant was hand sculpted using simple tools. No moulds. Every element was formed from scratch. It’s a combination of sculpting in wet clay, slip painting and dry contruction. Stone settings were soldered after firing. The bail was constructed from milled metal, combined with an ornamental element sculpted in metal clay - the elements were soldered together. This piece is a poetic reminiscence of my strolls and meditations in the forest. Forest and its gifts as a source of vision See more photos of this piece here.
