Unique, very unusual, small pendant, hand carved and fabricated by me in sterling silver and adorned with natural Baltic ambers. Some details were additionally plated with yellow gold. The biggest amber was cut by me and is 2,8 cm wide. Its flat back it visible through the openwork construction of the pendant. Slightly domed front of the amber is fully visible on the back of this piece. Diameter of smaller ambers is 4 and 3 mm. Amazing amber which adorns the articulated bail is 13 mm wide. Total length of this piece is 4,6 cm. Width 3,2 cm.

Sun deities are present in pantheons all over the world also in a form of goddesses like Japanese Amaterasu or Norse Sol. Sun is the center of our solar system, the source of light, warmth and all life. Tireless wanderers travel around it - planets, comets, asteroids on their neverending eliptical trails. Sun is there for us everyday, with it's ancient wisdom and nourishing energy. It is also a vortex of fiery chaos, inferno of ongoing nuclear fusion in its center - powerful and terrifying. I chose natural Baltic ambers with amazing colours and unusual patterns, to go  with my sculpted silver, to symbolise the complex power of the Sun. Both creative and destructive. Definitely humbling.

This piece is oxidized and polished. Every single detail of this pendant - the face, eliptical ornaments, suggested rays - were formed without using any moulds - just simple sculpting and silversmithing tools. It is signed and marked with a year of creation (2019 - this piece spent some time in a post competition exhibition in Tokio). It comes with a black cord, packed in a box, perfect for a gift. A certificate of uniqueness is included.
